What Is Remarketing? And, Why It Works

Remarketing is the practice of serving ads to customers that have already visited your website. In a sense, your company can “follow” users around the internet in spaces where they spend a lot of time—like Facebook, Instagram, or other online websites and apps.

A few hours later, they are scrolling through Instagram on their mobile device. There, they see an ad for plumbing repair from your company again. Because you have cookies installed and the user agrees to be tracked, your cookies will tell the ad platform of your choice when that user visits another site—and your ad will pop up there, too!
